Somes Motor Freight Negotiates Reopening
After driving as a 'company driver' with various trucking and drayage companies, the owner of Somes Motor Freight has decided to enter into a lease-to-own agreement with M & L Trucking. M & L Trucking is closing it's doors as of 09-31-10. As a driver for M & L Trucking the owner of SMF was content and well treated. With the looming lay off scheduled for 09-15-10 plans were made, contracts were written and arrangements made for SMF to purchase the one remaining M & L company truck and lease under May Trucking Company for one year. The plan is to pay off the truck as soon as possible and then reactivate SMF authority and run as a local dray company.

Somes Motor Freight Closed
We have decided to park our trucks and rescind our USDOT MC authority and close the doors to our trucking operations.

Sadly the costs involved with operating a trucking company in the United States right now are considerably higher than the rates trucking companies are paid to move the freight with their trucks and trailers.

We will be focusing our efforts on our other interets such as Yardman Lawn Maintenance and ProShine Janitorial Services.

As always we will continue to operate our technologies department and maintain the servers that are used to host our clients online presence.
